What is The Food Safety Summit?
The Food Safety Summit is the largest and most established food safety & defense exposition in North America. The first Summit was held in 1999. In 2006 it was purchased by BNP Media, the world’s largest media producer for food, beverage and packaging industries.
Each year the summit offers a full program of intensive educational sessions, pre-conference half-day workshops, ServSafe training & certification, networking opportunities, award presentations, poster abstracts and a resource-rich exhibition hall of exhibitors displaying their latest products/services.

The Washington DC Convention Center located at 801 Mt. Vernon Place, NW in downtown Washington DC.

To fulfill one of the Summit's core values and obligations to the industry and to provide the highest quality education and training, the Food Safety Summit has created the EEAC.
The Committee is comprised of industry-leading processors, retailers, consultants, educators, foodservice and government professionals. Though their leadership and support, the Summit is able to provide an unequalled educational program representing each of the food safety, security and supply chain disciplines. How much does it cost to attend?
Pricing is based on how many days of the Summit you wish to attend. There are 1-2 and 3 day packages available for purchase. There are also volume discounts for companies that send more than one representative to the event. Registration Packages.

Is there parking at the Convention Center?

For the benefit of both attendees and exhibitors educational programming and the Exhibition Hall do not conflict. The Exhibition Hall hours are Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. Lunch is provided for attendees and exhibitors in the Exhibit Hall.

Booth space sells for $28.50/square foot. Each open corner is an additional $200.00.

What Rules and Regulations should I be aware of?
Washington DC is a union city, however, 2 full-time exhibiting company
employees may work without Carpenter Labor for one (1) hour on the installation (move-in) and one (1) hour for the dismantle (move-out) without the union labor for booths larger than 10 x 10. Exhibitors may work in booths 10 x 10 without the use of union labor.
One individual from each exhibiting company is permitted one trip to
hand-carry items into the exhibit facility. The use of dollies, hotel
baggage cards, flat trucks and other mechanical equipment is not
permitted.
Unloading or reloading of any freight into the exhibit hall by any and all private vehicles and contracted carriers will be handled by Freeman Decorating Company.

How many badges is my company allowed?
For each 10 x 10 or 100sqft, you are entitled to 2 Full Conference badges and 1 exhibit hall only badge.
Both types of exhibitor badges will allow access to the Exhibit Hall
during set-up and tear down, exhibit hall hours, lunch served on
the floor, networking events & keynote speeches. The full
conference badges will also grant access to any of our educational sessions.
You may purchase additional badges above your allotment at our discounted
exhibitor rate
How do I update my Directory information and/or Buyer's Guide listings?
By updating your company's information in our online Buyer's Guide, you will update the information published in our Official Show Program & Exhibit Guide. Information for the Directory will be pulled 2/1/10.
